Department Activities 2017-2018
The Department of History has conducted Association Function on 6th October 2017 in the presence of Dr. R. Somasundaram, President , Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Velur and Dr. K. P. K. Nedunchizhiyan, Vice President of Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Velur. Mr K.Raja, the secretary of Department of History, has given the welcome address. Dr. N. Thangaraj, Principal, Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Velur has presided over the Function.
The Head of the Department of History, Mrs P. Thamizhchelvi has introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. G.Palanivel, Assistant Professor, PG and Research Department of History, Thiruvalluavr Govt Arts College, Rasipuram. The Chief Guest has delivered a special speech on “Freedom Movement in India” that has been very informative and impressive and also useful to the students. Finally Mrs. R. Mythili, Joint Secretary of History Department, has given vote of thanks. All the students and Faculty Members of History Department had paid a visit to Kodumanal near Chenimalai for Excavation Centre. The Students have learned many things about ‘Archaeology’ by this visit.
