Association Function Report
The inaugural function of Commerce Association for the academic year 2017-18, was held on 16.02.2018 in the college auditorium. Mr. R.N.Chandrasekaran, Deputy General Manager of Karur Vysya Bank, Karur branch and an alumni of the Department of Commerce, was the chief guest for the function.
M.Udhayakumar of II-M.Com, Secretary of Commerce Association welcomed the gathering. The Presidential Address was delivered by our Principal Dr. N. Thangaraj. The speech enlighted our students on the scope for commerce graduate in the near future. The felicitation addresses were delivered by our President and Secretary Dr. R. Somasundaram and our Vice President Dr .K.P.K. Nedunchezhiyan. The chief guest was introduced by Dr. N. K. Shanmugam, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Commerce.
The chief guest delivered his special address on job opportunities for students in the banking sector. He also gave suggestions on how students could prepare for bank exams. Following his special address there was an interaction session in which the chief guest answered to the questions of the students relating to the banking sector. The function came to a formal end with the vote of thanks delivered by K. Arvind of III B.Com. Joint Secretary of Commerce Association.
