REPORT OF AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WATER MANAGEMENT
Women Development Cell of Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Velur Namakkal and JSS Namakkal, Jointly organized an awareness programme on water resource management. Dr.N.Thangaraj, Principal, presided over the function, Dr.R. Somasundram, President & secretary of Kandaswami Kandar’s College, and Dr.K.P.K. Nedunchezhian vice president of Kandaswami Kandar’s Educational Trust & Chairman JSS Namakkal Felicitated the programme. Mr. K.S. Murthy M.L.A, Paramathi Velur Constituency was the chief guest, this programme was very useful to the students, to find the answer for many questions like how to utilize water resource optimally, how to store rain water through rain water harvesting, the role students to eradicate water scarcity and the role students in making our country as water sufficient one.,
More than 250 students attended the programme Mrs.P.Thamizhchelvi, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of History welcomed the gathering. Dr.S. Parvathi, Assistant Professor of Economics and Convener, Women Development Cell, Dr.Vimala, Assistant Professor of Tamil, Dr.B. Malathi, Assistant Professor of Tamil, member of Women Development Cell Co-ordinated the programme. During the programme pledge was taken by the students, to keep the surroundings clean. The director JSS Mr.K. Santhanam proposed vote of thanks. Students were served tea & snacks. The programme ended with National anthem.
