The Department of Chemistry was established in 1969, initially offering the B.Sc. Chemistry programme. In 1995, the department expanded its academic offerings with the introduction of the M.Sc. programme, followed by M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in 2008. These programmes provide students with comprehensive training in theoretical concepts, practical skills and research methodologies across various sub-disciplines of chemistry.
With a dedicated and experienced faculty team, the department fosters a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, innovate and contribute to advancements in chemical sciences.
